Gum tragacanth is a traditional aid in the shoe finishing process and used mainly for the natural finish without using dye. The jelly tragacanth is hardening the leather and closes the leather pores after drying.
On listing comes with 50 gram gum tragacanth.
The jelly gum tragacanth is applied after rasping and sanding the sole edges, heel or shoe bottom. After a short time of drying, you can start to polish with irons, burnish with wood or just polish the sole bottom with a cloth.
About the making:
Give a small piece of tragacanth (2-3 gram) into 50 ml water and let it stay over night or day. Use only the jelly part for your work!
